Can you imagine how frustrating it will be if you suffer some issues with your car battery in Adelaide? Not only is a dying battery a major headache trigger but it can also be dangerous if your car starts to stall in the middle of the road.

Your car battery makes up the backbone of your vehicle. It's the most crucial part that starts your engine and it powers all of the electrical components. As such, you must always ensure that you have a fully functioning battery if you want to successfully go from point A to B.

While it can be tricky to know exactly when your battery in Adelaide is about to die, you may want to take note of these telltale signs:

Headlights Are Dim

Before driving out, make sure to turn on your headlights and determine whether they are shining at the correct brightness as usual. If you don't think it is, then it could be a sign that your battery doesn't give sufficient power anymore.

To be sure, turn on the headlights once more while your battery is charging to gauge if there's an improvement with the brightness. If there is, then it's high time you need to have your car battery in Adelaide replaced.

The Engine Takes A While To Start

If you're driving your car for a while now, you must have a good "feel" of how fast the engine should start. If you notice it takes longer to crank up, then you may want to consider going to the experts in batteries in Adelaide.

Pressing On The Gas Pedal

Most vehicle owners would know the trick of pressing on the gas pedal if their car engine is struggling to start. If this is something you also do and it works every time, it's high time to have your car battery check and see if it already needs replacement.

The Engine Backfires

A backfiring engine doesn't always mean there's an issue with the spark plug.

Your spark plugs may be in perfect condition but there still intermittent sparks within the engine. This could be caused by a weak battery so don't take your chances and have your vehicle checked.

Your Battery Has Had Its Third Birthday

Car batteries in Adelaide that are more than three years usually lose their tiptop condition. It's harder for them to withstand extreme weather conditions causing your battery to fail without any warning.
